About the Project
“Don’t Reach in The Bag” is a One-Woman show written by and starring Shalewa Sharpe about the 6 years she worked at an adult video store. She shares stories about customers, the porn industry and herself. It’s funny, informative and relatable. The show is 45-50 mins long and has a 10-15 min Q&A afterward (Shalewa’s favorite part of the show). Shalewa Sharpe is a Stand-Up Comedian, writer and actor who resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her credits include HBO’s 2 Dope Queens, The New Negroes on Comedy Central and The Tonight Show. She also has 2 comedy albums “Stay Eatin Cookies” and “So You Just Out Here?”.
