Brilliant acting, well written and complex characters. Along with simple but well executed staging and sets to keep things moving along. Bold writing that doesn’t flinch and offers up nuanced depictions of several situations and characters. Good direction, a good story all lending itself to a satisfying and entertaining production.
What I didn't like
The ending does seem to come out a bit short and abrupt, I feel this is a play that would greatly benefit outside of the Fringe from adding 15-20 minutes to flesh out the final act a bit more.
My overall impression
Well structured, acted and executed theatre. A stellar cast with a story that wisely pushes into it’s conflicts at every turn. A story that never lets it’s characters get off easy and relishes in that fact. With performers game to show the humanity and flaws of their characters allowing them to be fully realized in a brisk period of time. Rich with meaning and thoughtful conversations it is a play that deserves every ounce of it’s accolades.
