The space itself is unusual and engaging, and the use of it was effective. The design elements are beautiful (the sound and lighting even transporting at times). The writing edges on the taboo, and it’s embodied beautifully by the actors.
What I didn't like
The challenge of working with minimal set is that sometimes the sensory aspects of the world get lost, and then relationship can go underdeveloped. I’d love to see what more would be revealed with more exploration of the setting and its effect on the characters’ history.
My overall impression
The playwright elegantly explores paradoxes of life, such as the simultaneous realities of emotional attachment and existential insignificance. The production is simple and relatable.
