What I liked

Great poignant, witty writing, loved story/plot and general theme/point & message of the show, multi-dimensional diverse characters, concise directing, and wonderful performances from all.

What I didn't like

The only tiny small thing I can think of is as at one of the scenes towards the end one of the performers, spilled some of their drink onto the floor but didn’t attempt to clean it up or anything, and neither did the other performers. Now they could have genuinely not realized/noticed. I also realize that it was in the height of a tense moment in a scene AND the first preview ever! But if I’m being nitpicky that’s all I can think of. I want performers to react to anything that happens during a live show as their characters as if it really happened. I noticed another performer spilled his drink on the table and on his fingers earlier in the show and licked his fingers and I loved that. I love when performers allow themselves to take the first thing and incorporate mishaps into the performance. That’s one of the best parts of the theater. The only reason I bring it up is it’s the only thing that took me out of it for a little bit cause I was then looking at the little spill worried about who might step in it or slip LOL.

My overall impression

Heartfelt, authentic, and comedic. Felt like there were so many aspects all audiences could relate to. I loved that it was dramatic yet hilarious and touched on so real topics in an insightful way. When stories feel like real life it is my absolute favorite. I’m not gonna lie, when you’re friend tells you “come see my fringe show” you prepare for the worst just in case but I was SO happy and surprised by how great it was!
