The characters are equal parts ridiculous and realistic representations of 1990s kids; the talented performers drive the show with a friendly hand.
What I didn't like
As with any virtual performance, the technical aspects can be tricky. While The Sleepover’s virtual pre-show with interactive elements is a fun and creative concept, the show’s current setup may not be ideal for audience members who do not possess the latest technology.
My overall impression
The Sleepover is an endearing and entertaining experience, featuring adorkable characters and plenty of laughs. The immersive interactivity is a nice touch, without becoming overbearing. Recommended viewing for nostalgic fans of the 1990s, and all those who wish to spend an hour away from the 21st century in the presence of lovable nerds.
