Mandy’s bravery – it’s hard enough to put on a one-person show. It’s even harder when one fearlessly shares some of the most intimate details of their life, both funny and painful.
What I didn't like
With time, the nervousness will go away. It took a few minutes for her to truly connect with the audience, likely because in her excitement, she tended to rush through her storytelling instead of slowing down and letting her story unfold. Once she got into the rhythm, all bets were off, and she was magical to watch.
My overall impression
What a powerhouse of a performance by Mandy Bics! Throughout key moments of the show, the audience audibly gasped, chuckled, cheered, and whimpered as Ms. Bics took us on a journey of coming to terms with her ever-present voices of rage, reason, and insecurity.
