What I liked

I loved the character work. The humor between the dramatic moments. The realness and authenticity of the story. You feel as if you are there, experiencing the tragedy & the recognition with Italome. Her writing is impeccable, her storytelling is riveting, and her performance is strong.

My overall impression

I loved Mermaid. An absolute must-see. It’s beautiful, haunting, and Italome takes you places—in this case, Nigeria. I walked away feeling so many emotions. I am still thinking about this show.
