Mermaid

What I liked

The lighting, the use of sound, the artist’s interpretation of a traumatic generational story, and how it was a roller coaster of emotion. I was with the artist the whole way. Very layered.

What I didn't like

I wish it were longer but I understand Fringe time. This should and could be expanded and explored. Each character took a life of their own. Could be a novel or a longer play. Mermaid is heartbreaking and vivid. Give me more.

My overall impression

Brilliant writing, seamless delivery, and diverse accent work, all for an unbelievable yet true story. I was riveted from start to finish! Must see Fringing!
