What I liked
I loved the different characters, so distinct, and the original songs are so fun! Also, the fact that he worked the flute into the show is fabulous. I got to know Steve in a very creative round-about way.
What I didn't like
This is a very polished show. I can’t think of anything to improve.
My overall impression
Camp Ginger is a fun and unique way of inviting us to learn about the inclusion of others and ourselves just the way we are. Steve is delightful to watch, so talented with his singing voice and character voice work. And the flute! Each character was endearing, which is hard to do, but by the end I even loved the bully. The storyline seems simple, but is actually quite profound as it moves along and the audience learns more about the struggles of accepting oneself in a not so perfect society.
