What I liked
I loved the wonderfully specific characterizations of each camp member, be it a counsellor or a kid, each was full, alive, incredibly entertaining and, most importantly, added to the story. Each character is played impeccably by Steve, who hits all the right notes with his fantastic voice. A standout moment, without revealing too much, was when he played the father, singing about old dreams, it was simply beautiful.
What I didn't like
This isn’t a criticism, but I feel this show will go further and I would love to see it accompanied by a band/orchestra in a future production.
My overall impression
A phenomenal show that will move you and entertain you in an hour that will whizz by in a flash! Congratulations all round to the production team and to the insanely talented writer and performer Steve Trzaska for his powerhouse of a performance! I could have sat and watched for another hour, the songs were fantastic, and I will happily see it again!!
