What I liked
There were so many wonderful aspects to this play. From the individual character storylines and how the actors executed them to the thoughtfulness and inclusion clearly accomplished by the writer. No matter who watches this play, everyone will find a character to relate to, a character (or a few) to love, and a character to undoubtedly hate (kudos to the actress who played her). Emily Powers is a young genius who can mold the tricky ups and downs of dating into an extraordinarilly emotive play for all to enjoy.
What I didn't like
I didn’t understand banging on the snack chest.
My overall impression
Emily Powers’ Sunday Night at Jane’s follows a group of unsuspecting exes who individually delve into their relatably rich histories and struggles, ultimately finding companionship among each other. The actors, writer, and director have done a wonderful job to showcase what it truly means to be a young adult in the complex dating world, exploring turmoil, comedy, and love that the audience will no doubt absorb.
