The piece was beautifully acted. I felt a genuine love of the work from everyone. The entire cast had me in the palm of their hand driving me to laugh and cry simultaneously. I also loved the staging and the rug being a separation from the main-space.
What I didn't like
One main thing is the pacing of some parts. Especially when everyone is talking over each other there are sometimes some pauses where I thought it would pick up. But still a great show!
My overall impression
From the start Sunday Night at Jane’s takes you on a whirlwind journey of hilarious jokes and heartfelt moments. Playwright Emily Powers takes what would normally panic attack inducing situation and injects wonderful playfulness and sincerity into the work. Altogether Sunday Night at Jane’s is a talented cast and wonderful direction built upon a strong foundation of a beautifully written script.
