What I liked

The cast! Kate absolutely lights up the stage on her first entrance and jolts the room to life with her rapid fire and hilarious energy. She plays off a loveably aloof Sebastian who also shines. When Tony, in the role of the narcissist neighbor appears, all hell breaks loose and the actor deftly manages a lot of lines that could easily fall flat. It’s a definite compliment to the production when I say that we loathe Tony by the end!

What I didn't like

There are some rough spots with the general plot and the supporting roles kind of linger in a way that makes me wonder if there are missed opportunities for more comedy. I kind of get lost in the second half and the energy that provided so many laugh lines at the top receded a bit into all the business. I also did not understand why (possible spoiler coming) the butler does what he does at the end. Seemed very unmotivated. Lastly, wanted to see everyone stand up to this jerk at some point in the show! That would likely garner a huge round of applause.

My overall impression

This show is well worth seeing for the excellent cast and astute direction. The script reflects potential for a much bigger run so I was happy to catch this in an intimate setting while the kinks get worked out.
