The actors were well-cast, relaxed, and appeared to be enjoying themselves. All did a great job of keeping the pace going and hitting the comedic elements. The staging was simple and effective, and the sequences with Kate’s Mom were a hoot. The script and overall show were a good length, and included smart jokes and topical references mixed in with the larger farcical elements.
What I didn't like
I attended the Preview show, so expected a few stumbles. There were some—mostly technical—with the most obvious being the premature blackout at the end of the show, which cut off the final joke. All easily fixable. Other than that, it was great!
My overall impression
This was a fun show, kind of a classic farce. Despite some small first-night technical glitches, it was well-paced and got plenty of laughs from the audience.
