The 90 minute play barely felt like 2o. I laughed, I cried and I was moved by the ensemble cast of characters that each offered a glimpse into the complex world of LGBTQ youth. I was moved by the honesty of Miguel’s disappointment with Allan. Allan’s drag performance, expressing to Miguel what Miguel once felt for him, each wanting the other to be something they could not be. Allan’s pain was as wrenching as Miguel’s behavior. You want to attack Miguel, be angry, yet you know that he’s acting out on pain he doesn’t have the capacity to express. The actors were hilarious and on point. I loved this play!
What I didn't like
The volume of the music sometimes surpassed that of the dialogue and I had to strain to hear.
