What I liked
The cast was solid.
The hit song in the play was actually pretty catchy/enjoyable.
Well-written dialogue.
What I didn't like
The direction was a bit sloppy. It felt like the characters were in different plays at times – they didn’t quite nail a consistent tone. Was hard to buy that some of the characters were friends.
The story/structure needed work. It didn’t satisfactorily address the themes of the show. I didn’t really understand the last scene at all.
My overall impression
Entertaining, though needed another re-write or two before it was production-ready.
