What I liked
The writer, Libby Baumgartner bravely tackles a multitude of women’s issues in a short space of time. She is a budding writer and I cannot wait to see how her skill develops.
What I didn't like
Perhaps too many subjects were taken on in this piece. One or two explored with more complexity might have given the audience more time to feel the many heightened emotions that are sparked by issues like drugged date rape, abortion, and incest.
My overall impression
TRASH is a collection of short pieces touching briefly on subjects pertinent to women in our society. The play is a courageous concept from the mind of Libby Baumgartner.
