What I liked

I particularly loved the choice to explore some of the relationships through movement and music. Dialogue isn’t always the only way to establish and explore relationships, and that stood out in ‘In Conclusion’. I loved how the play elegantly moved between these moments, and then thought-provoking dialogue from some of the more intellectually inclined characters (the two female lawyers).

What I didn't like

This may go without saying, but I think there can never be enough rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal. Particularly with the movement, and physicality of the show. The technical work was ambitious, and incredible to see in such an intimate space, but being so close to the action, also exposed some of the moments that weren’t always razor sharp.

My overall impression

A fantastical, thought-provoking piece. An exploration of some of the harder questions we sometimes choose to ignore concerning the American justice system. The play bobs and weaves between strikingly theatrical movement, and then gorgeously written dialogue. A treat for any theatre lovers out there.
