What I liked
The performances were fantastic- Lindsay and Vanessa are two fierce talents that make an impeccable duo onstage. In covering a range of roles, each actor possessed a versatility not only of character, but of tone; deftly handling a show that went from the comically absurd to the deeply vulnerable.
What I didn't like
My only issue doesn’t have anything to do with the show- the walls in this space are too thin to have 2 shows going at once. I could hear every note of The Last Five Years happening just next door and (though I’m a huge fan of that show), there were more than a few moments when the noise would just pollute the intimate space that Lindsay and Vanessa were creating.
My overall impression
I was blindsided in the best way. An initially ludicrous concept that ropes you into something exquisitely human.
