Amir Levi and Demetris Hartman carry this show on their shoulders with grace and beauty, both of them showing off triple-threat action. Amir is the highlight as Edie Stevenson, dressed in beautiful dresses, a glorious wig, and delivering one bad line reading after another with such speed and confidence you’ll wonder when Amir will say the right words accidentally.
Tony Fosters script is fun, tight, and quick, and you will dance along to each song, zip, jazz hand, and Freudian exchange through the show. The big musical finale was incredible!
What I didn't like
Nothing. If you like big Broadway numbers, you’ll love this show!
My overall impression
Fun, touching, and a hell of a Broadway revue, Come Back! takes a couple of characters and drops them into a world of wonder, disappointment, and Broadway. If it sounds too close to home, it is.
