What I liked
The feeling of watching a baseball game that came with this show. To clarify, there was a feeling of comradery I felt with the rest of the audience that one might feel at a sporting event. We were all rooting for Brett to win, all fans for the same team.
What I didn't like
Making the trivia games feel more welcoming to people who know nothing about baseball. There were audience participation moments that required more knowledge about baseball than just knowing a few players names. But my wanting to play along was balanced by seeing other audience members get have fun.
My overall impression
I had a blast watching Brett perform his “human tricks.” Seeing someone flex their brain in such an engaging and funny way, and make me interested in a topic I generally forget exists (I know, I know) was a highlight of my year.
