The only things I know about baseball are what I learned in my two years of Little League and at the handful of Dodger games I went to as a teenager. Other than that…nada. I appreciate how Brett was totally non-judgmental and was actually even more interested in people who don’t know much about baseball. It’s like he just wanted to share his joy with you, whether or not you like baseball itself. That was really cool, and that joy he shared permeated through the audience until we all felt joyful ourselves.
What I didn't like
I would love to see more of his childhood and adolescence as a baseball fan but I can see how that would take away from the overall goal of the show.
My overall impression
Brett is the kind of guy who I could watch read nutrition facts off of cereal boxes and I’d still be enthralled. He has such a natural, comfortable presence on-stage that you don’t even feel like you’re watching a show.
