What I liked

The show moves fast through several segments where Mr. Moore shows off bis impressive encyclopedic knowledge of baseball in between fun anecdotes of his personal history as a fan of the game. The audience games/stories/comedy are all well balanced and no bit overstays its welcome.

I was also shocked at how accessible it was to a non-fan. The friend I went with knew nothing of the game and still thoroughly enjoyed herself.

What I didn't like

The only thing I can think of is the last segment, while an impressive feat of knowledge, kinda drags as it mostly consisted of him puzzling out his answers.

That last sentence is real vague, but I don’t want to spoil it. It wasn’t bad and the end result impressive, but it was a low energy moment in a show that was firing on all cylinders up to that point.

My overall impression

What a fun show! Mr. Moore’s enthusiasm for baseball is infectious. The best way to describe it is it’s like the theater equivalent of meeting a stranger in a bar who talks at you non-stop about their favorite hobby which you know nothing about, but they’re so charming and passionate about it you can’t help but be entertained.
