An entertaining ride through the passionate mind of a baseball fanatic. The audience participation aspect really draws you in and shifts the show from a fan talking about baseball for an hour to a passionate guy with a talent and love to share. It's like mind freak, but with baseball!... full review

This show gave me a fascinating glimpse into a savants mind. Brett Moore was full of excitement to share his brilliance with us and the show was very entertaining and also funny, even though I don't know anything about baseball. I would recommend this show to anyone who is into baseball or interested about baseball. ... full review

I had a blast watching Brett perform his "human tricks." Seeing someone flex their brain in such an engaging and funny way, and make me interested in a topic I generally forget exists (I know, I know) was a highlight of my year.... full review

Easily one of my favorite shows of the Fringe. It's more than just some neat tricks and games this is a love letter to baseball, to a sense of belonging, to the beauty of the human mind and what makes things like sports so important to our culture. Brett comes alive on the stage feeding off the crowd to make a unique experience that has to be experienced to grasp the full wonder of it all. This show needs to get into other cities and fast!... full review

I loved the whole show! He approached his obsession from so many angles; it just keeps surprising and amazing you. How many people can speak that fast, let alone think that fast. What a fun experience for people of all ages and interests!... full review

This show was a delightful break from the standard stage show. And although, I know close to nothing about baseball, it was a continuous good time. Brett is engaging and personable in every respect and takes care of his audience with skill and charm. ... full review

Fantastic. I'm an acquaintance to baseball - I love being at a live game and I'll get into whatever happens to be on TV, but to appreciate BATTER UP, you need only be passionate about something - anything. Brett does a fascinating and hugely entertaining job of showing his "stupid human trick" of his freakishly good memory, but it's not the goofy act of memory that shines through - it's that the deep, deep love of everything baseball is attached to it. The drama comes from the in-show games hoping Brett can guess the correct names or numbers, but the heart has nothing to do with statistics. This man cares DEEPLY about baseball. And his convictions and love instill the audience with the same reverie. If you love anything passionately, you wil... full review

Batter Up! felt more like a conversation with a friend than a theatrical production, and I mean this in the best possible way. Brett's love for baseball makes listening to a chronological listing of all the teams that lost in the World Series both endearing and something to root for; seeing Brett dig back through his years of baseball knowledge to triumphantly retrieve and share is both a remarkable feat of investment but also engrossing to observe. Even if you don't love baseball, this show gives you something to don't encounter every day: emphatic and earnest enthusiasm for a lifelong pursuit.... full review
