What I liked

I liked how the characters all connect in the end, and how the use of phones was portrayed in such a realistic way (especially when the characters threw their phones across the bar and said the only time they’ll go grab them is when they’re in search of the internet because they’ve come across something they don’t know).

I also loved the dialogue — it revealed our characters’ backstories without being too on the nose or expository. Our characters’ past and present were described in an organic way through the dialogue, and I got excited every time I learned a new tidbit of a character that I was surprised about (NYU guy’s depression and medication, for example).

One last thing I absolutely loved (other than the entirety of the play) — The censored props were brilliant during the phone sex attempt scene.

What I didn't like

I’m having a hard time thinking about what could be improved… the acting was terrific, the comedy was on point…

I guess I sort of expected the lyft driver to know one of the passengers somehow, especially since it’s supposed to be a small town. So incorporating the lyft driver as one of the characters would have been nicec.

My overall impression

I absolutely LOVED the show. It was genuine, funny, and relatable. As a mid-20-something who moved out of her hometown, I understand deeply what this play was trying to capture — how we grow at different speeds than our high school friends, how we change after moving, having to make new friends when we go off to college… this play portrayed all of these life changes that rapidly attack us from the ages of 18-30. I laughed, I cried, and overall absolutely loved what this play’s message was down to its core.
