What I liked

Great characters — the busy body, the young partier, the hulking bully, etc. My faves were Mike and Carol. A couple of them mingled with audience members while we were waiting to go into the “meeting hall.”

What I didn't like

There could be more interaction with the audience. There may have been more characters mingling but they weren’t noticeable. The meeting/performance itself seemed a little disjointed, like there was no agenda. Except for a couple of items, “neighbors” who “signed up in advance” took to the podium for whatever they wanted to talk about.

My overall impression

Great idea for immersive theater, especially for people who have been to neighborhood council meetings and are active on Nextdoor. The execution was good but could have had been livelier and funnier. With a title like “Town Brawl,” I expected a much more energetic experience with more audience participation.
