I loved the intentional weirdness of this play. The central mystery also functions as enough of a plot backbone that, as the audience, we’re thrilled to just watch a couple of kooky would-be crooks try to figure it out.
What I didn't like
I would lengthen this! Would love some even deeper Marina backstory, along with Anna’s as well. Maybe just a touch more resolution as well, but I think that would come with turning it into a two-act play.
My overall impression
Capricious writing and charming oddness meets the grime and grit of petty jealousy and true violence. It’s a contained blast of a show that’s both funny and truly mesmerizing.
