What I liked

Competent and enthusiastic cast, and a solid idea.

What I didn't like

The Audience! Half of the small house (up a tremendous flight of stairs) seemed to be a “theatre party” of dumb teen girls who came to ogle Mr LaFleur, loudly shouting their approval, loudly thrilled by the gay subtext, who kept walking back and forth in front of the stage to enter and exit for the entire hour-and-a-half!
Wish I had seen it with an audience of adults!

My overall impression

Here’s a refreshing antidote to today’s rampant “me-too”ism: a cute actor (played by cute actor Al LaFleur) is encouraged by his practical wife to screw his way up the ladder of success to benefit both of them, starting at the lowest rung with a practical queen one generation older! It’s “Indecent Proposal” for the 21st century, filtered through the Ed Wood School of Dramaturgy! An ingratiating cast (2F/2M—-including the British auteur as the seducer) but it starts slow and goes on for 85 minutes (not 80) without an intermission. The text could use a smart editor!
