What I liked

The snappy dialogue really moves the pacing of the show along. Each scene can be treated as a standalone piece, but is at the same time a part of a complete and unified social critique. Chris Valenti is definitely a true master of comedic dialogue, and the cast played its part in beautiful synchronization.

What I didn't like

It might help to have certain scenes blend more in line with the title of the play. There were times when I thought Suicide Pact and Brittle Trombone could almost be entirely separate plays altogether. It feels as though the play escapes from itself at certain times to create something entirely new, but in no way reducing the comedic quality.

My overall impression

A cleverly crafted and hilarious dose of sketch comedy with a provocative background of social commentary that is extremely important to tackle in today’s political climate. This is a play that will not disappoint its audience for even a second. You will be on the edge of your seat laughing and pondering the entire time. One could almost be forgiven for believing that they were watching SNL live from Hollywood.
