What I liked
The actors were all amazing. Eric Curtis Johnson delivers as our titular character, but every other actor on stage is alive and en pointe throughout. The writing by Michael Shaw Fisher delivers on an artistic level, pulling the audience into a world with its own language (the courtroom scene alone is a master class on writing smart comedy).
What I didn't like
I don’t want to go into detail to avoid spoilers, but I’m still trying to figure out the ending, and I felt confused as to the exact mechanics of it. Not sure if it matters all that much anyway.
My overall impression
A swirling, maddening, hilarious descent into a tale as twisted as its main character. I heard a lot of comparisons to David Lynch before the show, and I gotta say, it did not disappoint. Mindbending and entertaining from start to bloody finish.
