What I liked
I liked the specificity and individuality of each character. I was able to see each of them as a whole, which helped build the entire world around them. Very easy to feel like you were just there at the bar with them as the story unfolds.
What I didn't like
Of course for such a rich time and place, I wish the bar/stage was more intricate and detailed to support it, but the lack thereof I also appreciated in forcing me to imagine a little harder, and the actors made it easy to do, you could really see it through their eyes.
My overall impression
Stunned! It was beautiful all around, in story, in emotion, in execution. An interesting time in history I knew very little about, but still with relatable issues of family grudges and pride. Everyone’s performance was confident and passionate. A stand out ensemble.
