The intelligent stage play has some great twists and turns. It keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wait for the next reveal. A lot is accomplished with only two actors on stage. You learn a lot of the character’s family history, and while the ending is not unexpected, it still packs a powerful punch.
What I didn't like
A less dramatic performance from Lovlee Carroll as “Susan” would take the melodrama out of the play and provide a better counterbalance to Matt O’Neill’s nuanced performance.
My overall impression
Strong writing, able direction, and solid acting, particularly from Matt O’Neill, makes “Blue Kiss” a compelling psychological thriller.
