What I liked

This play is a collective of actual homeless women’s stories. All of the actors were good. The play wasn’t all only homeless monologues, there was also a storyline. I didn’t end up checking my watch at all, I was totally in it begining to end. Well maybe not the very begining (preshow) ; I don’t always enjoy an unofficial begining where the audience is shuffling in and the play has already begun unless it’s a play about theatre that takes place in a theatre. This probably would have been a superb effect had I viewed it’s performance in a filthy back alley which I’m not opposed to doing; as I love environmental theatre. To say I would have loved to see more examples of homelessness, like the homeless veteran or imigrant who works 80 hours a week, or the homeless drug dealer who makes $1000 a week to blow it on poker and girls, or the regular people who are just tired of paying $2400 a month rent so they move into storage and a Subaru would be unfair. The task taken by this writing team deserves kudos as well do the actors. I almost cried.

What I didn't like

This play would have been so much better with light ques and a stage that allows temporary suspension of disbelief that everyone’s not always in the same “room”. Also I feel this could be a larger play or series with more characters and more stories. Perhaps a work in progress? Still, entertaining enough. Go see it.

My overall impression

Spectacular attempt at attacking an issue plaguing our society.
