What I liked
The writing was great. Funny, targeted, tragic, and alive. The cast knocked it out of the park. The staging, production design, and multimedia elements added great punctuation to the ideas and conflicts on display.
What I didn't like
At times the rhythm of the show would be a little thrown off by a scene going a beat too long, but that’s a small quibble.
My overall impression
Smart, playful, provocative, and timely. Really loved this production. The cast is fantastic in bringing a slice of the life of Lee Atwater to the stage. I hate the guy in real life, but this show brings you to the magnetic energy that made his amoral political strategies so effective.
