What I liked
The performances are all spot-on and beautiful, directed with sensitivity and skill by Sara Tomko. The producers, Kym Allen, Clare Almand and Chasten Harmon have done an artful job weaving together the pieces which are wonderfully written and a perfect length. They all left me wanting more, but in the best way because the “creative efficiency” prompted my own continued thoughts and feelings about them. I won’t point out specific pieces because every one was a stand-out. Bravo!
What I didn't like
I thought it was perfect. Truly.
My overall impression
“Chrysalis” is a deeply moving collection of works. It pulled me in from Moment One and I was fully invested in all the pieces. I was moved to tears many times. I laughed at the humor and was inspired. This powerful femme-driven experience has stayed with me, and I implore EVERYONE to go see it!
