An exquisite melding of drama, dance, movement, costume and live music, this performance piece takes David O. Selznick’s search for the right actress to play Scarlett O’Hara into moments I don’t think the legendary producer could ever have thought of. A seamless cast under Kick Boom Theater leader John Wuchte’s inventive direction certainly help, but this show really is Wuchte’s awe-inspiring conception. It’s been years since I’ve seen a costume change catapult a production into the next level—Scarlett’s infamous red dress here is beyond description. Astounding in every aspect.
