What I liked

The dancing is well choreographed! The melodies are also well written.

What I didn't like

I found the singing to feel strained at times. Just as much, the spoken dialogue was less than convincing. In fact, just reading the details posted here it would seem that the cast is a class of Wuchte’s maybe, which I think is fantastic however I’d suggest training for a few more years before making your actorial debut, because I found the performances to be not as strong as they could be.

Additionally, my biggest note: let the project breathe. I felt suffocated by pretention at times however I believe the story is interesting enough that this could be avoided if you’d just let the project tell its own story.

My overall impression

I’ll start with the good, I quite enjoyed the dancing. A few of the songs had great rhythm to them and I felt like the stage was well used.

However

This is one of the shows that seems to be getting a lot of buzz, so I was super excited to see it. Maybe it’s personal taste, maybe it was an off night, but I found it to fall a bit flat. More so, I found it to be a bit pretentious. It was the kind of story that felt as though it insisted upon itself, like it kept waving it’s arms saying “hey look at me, I’m art, I’m important” rather than letting it speak for itself.
