Review by CHRISTINE DEITNER

June 08, 2019

What I liked

Though Wuchte started today’s show by noting that he just met his 8 actors a mere 8 weeks prior, it feels as though they’ve been working together for years. It’s a quiet yet ferocious piece that brings the physical together with the vocal [both spoken and sung] in a way that never feels forced or manufactured.

What I didn't like

I honestly can’t think of a thing.

My overall impression

This is about as good and magical as it can get, friends. John Wuchte takes us on a uniquely cohesive physical and musical journey into the mythic quest for the actress to play Scarlett O’Hara and ends up taking us into a surprisingly internal ‘all things Hollywood’ experience that resonates quite soundly today. With music created by John Wuchte & Michael Teoli and provided live by Wuchte and his fellow percussion and guitar playing muses, 8 actors deliver a performance you won’t want to miss.
