Innovative concept and execution. Lots of fun, even if you are not too familiar with the source material. The prologue introducing the Klingon theatre company was hysterical.
What I didn't like
It felt way too long. I got the gist, and appreciate the comedic payoffs very quickly. The first hour felt easy to condense to get to the gold in the second hour. You also started late! We had to run to the next show and barely made it. Also TURN DOWN THAT DRUM. Way way too loud. Even having put in earplugs, my nervous system felt attacked the whole time.
My overall impression
Admittedly, like a few of the other people posting comments, I am not a trekkie or purveyor of the classics. That said, I was very impressed and was able to really appreciate the craft that went in to it. Many moments of brilliance.
