Full disclosure: I know nothing about Star Trek. I barely even know anything about Tamburlaine. But my best friend is in this so I went to see it and honestly I enjoyed the hell out of myself. While the concept could have faltered from being too specific, here the attention to detail (including things like the correct color blood being on weapons in an effect that it is now my mission to learn how they did by the end of Fringe) only serves to bring out the best in the piece really brings the audience into the game with them.
What I didn't like
It’s a bit long. I know they already cut a lot out, and it’s a challenging piece. But it’s a long time to sit in a theater that small with no intermission.
My overall impression
This show is so specific that you’d think it was for no one, but it turns out it is also so earnest, fun, and well adapted that it might just be for everyone.
