My overall impression

Paced to the rhythm of Stephen Colbert(?)’s ironic voice, this play immediately pulls you into its wiggy town and wayward citizens, three of whom claim to be the mayor. An astonishing cast delivers Pamela Quinn Eberhardt’s tight script with everything required from stupidity to slovenliness to ennui. Bad things happen … in the most hilarious way possible. A 15 year quest by Eberhardt to wrestle onto the boards, this adaptation of the Stephen Colbert-Amy Sedaris-Paul Dinello novel deserves a full production. When it does, I’ll be one of the first in line to see it again.
