What I liked

I loved the way Marianne greeted us at the beginning…..I wasn’t certain how I would feel with the subject matter and in an instant any concern was dispelled by her warm greeting and then I was just swept away into the characters and all they’d been through.

What I didn't like

There was a moment when I didn’t realize she’d transitioned to another character but I quickly caught up.

My overall impression

Marianne Simon lost her husband 2 years ago very suddenly and she wrote this piece to give voice to some of what one goes through after suffering such a devastating loss.
Her performance was heart-breaking and yet filled with love and humor….genuine and real….we join in bearing witness to each character she portrays in the Widows Anonymous group as they put words to their pain while being raw and real and yet finding moments to smile and laugh. Marianne has a unique ability to weave the ache in her heart with the bittersweet and the love…..we cry and laugh along with her.
I was profoundly moved by Widows Anonymous and recommend it highly!
Her parting words were to let those you love know it. I find myself doing exactly that this morning ❤️
