What I liked

Really enjoyed the use of multimedia to help tell this story. Bold choice of lighting as well to convey travel and location. Thought the lesson was very clear to me. I enjoyed the dancing that was used as the little prince moved from world to world. So many different ways to communicate were used. Really enjoyed the lessons at each of the worlds and how they were connected and especially loved the conversation with the fox.

What I didn't like

The impulses were a bit slow at times especially at the beginning. However, it really settled into a nice flow.

I will say something about theater etiquette that was an unpleasant and unnecessary distraction. Several people arrived late to the matinee show and it’s a small theater. Most of the show was dimly lit for effect and as these latecomers arrived (at least one was more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time if I recall correctly) the light from the lobby spilled out onto the stage. I wish those people were either not allowed in or arrangements had been made to keep the light from spilling onto the stage.

The cast was very professional and didn’t allow this to pull them out of the world. Kudos!

My overall impression

Creative! Very imaginative telling of this wonderful story. Very stylized use of lighting, movement and environment. Seemingly simple, yet deep and personal.
