The lighting scheme was brilliant- much like eating in the dark heightens your taste buds, watching this play in the absence of light makes you not just hear but truly listen to every line.
I loved Irina’s dancing!
Awesome costumes.
What I didn't like
I think the transitions would benefit from a more dream-like, moodier score that juxtaposed against the light-hearted nature of the scenes.
My overall impression
a dreamlike, mesmerizing, atmospheric, and inventive take on a classic story. Despite the central premise of adults losing their sense of child-like wonderment, the actors never let this get too heavy, bringing so much fun and life to a heavy concept.
