Kat Primeau and Molly Dworsky’s duet gave me goosebumps and I could listen to Dave Reynolds and Chris Bramante’s singing for days. They are all on a level that is seldom reached and Robot Teammate knows how to deliver comedy. The band was superb and beautifully completes the journey Pockets takes you on.
What I didn't like
Give Robot Teammate a national audience so EVERYONE can experience their talent!
My overall impression
Robot Teammate crushes it yet again! They deliver their proven talent and unique brand of musical comedy with Pockets. Simply put, it is pure joy. You immediately get pulled in with their hilariously catchy songs that make you want to sing along. Pockets has the perfect balance between social commentary and not taking itself too seriously, tackling issues that are seldom highlighted. Through the Duchess character we see the obstacles women face in leadership positions compared to men; lack of support, balancing family and duty, and a society that not only questions every move made but are ready to tear them down given a chance. Mix that with a song about peeing your pants in the stocks and you have Robot Teammate’s perfect blend of commentary and comedy.
