I love a set that feels full and well thought out. Everything from the cereal box to the plant and the towels hanging on the inside of the bathroom door made the story come to life for me. I’ve been in that apartment – I’ve lived in that apartment. The acting was natural, the jokes popped – I laughed every time someone said “Beatrix” – and the ending was just perfect.

My overall impression
A thoughtful, three dimensional look at a typical New York apartment during the Obama era. The characters are fully realized and the actors playing them have wonderful onstage chemistry. I believed their relationships, struggles, and desires. Bushwick is a breath of fresh air in the LA theater scene and a great way to spend a night out!
