What I liked

I loved the costuming…and the over all look of the second act was very effective. kudos to the ladies for such a quick costume change and face painting…I really think the essence of the story came through even though a lot of aerial work was used. I was amazed by the stilt walkers because those stilts looked hard to balance on!!!

What I didn't like

the aerial work appeared to be done with different levels of skill but I understand why it was choreographed as it was to allow for the differences. I also wish the ceiling had been higher to allow more liberal moves by the aerial dancers but they still did a wonderful job with the limitations…..

My overall impression

I was quite enthralled with the crossover from ballet into aerial arts. All of the dancers used strong emotions in their presentations and I liked this very much. The technique in dancing and the telling of the story worked very effectively even with the cirque aspects. Choreography was varied and eye catching, with the added delight of the cirque presentation.
