What I liked

See the summary and also: I liked how clearly the two characters were different from one another in personality, and different in how they coped with the world and their feelings. At the same time that difference did not keep me from believing that they had a romantic past together. That can be hard to do/portray and I think the acting and writing pulled it off ver nicely.

What I didn't like

I felt at times that the performances were too large for the space — it was actually a perfect piece for the small black box, very intimate and eerie, however it felt like that nuance was sometimes lost.

My overall impression

It was fun to be on the ride with the characters from the very beginning — not knowing where we are, how we got there, who Aspid and Thyma are to each other. The idea of being stuck in a room with someone that you have a complicated past with is very interesting and uncomfortable. I enjoy theatre that makes me feel uncomfortable and makes me think and this piece certainly did that!
