What I liked
The SMART & FUNNY dialogue, that was done perfectly by the actors. There would be a real temptation as an actor to take some of these lines and go over the top with them. They all smartly play their characters straight and have the writing work for them. Each mayoral candidate comes from a different political spectrum and makes solid arguments…then a slight turn that makes you say “What??!” It all works in harmony and I was smiling the whole time. LOVED this show. Definitely a favorite of this years Fringe Festival.

My overall impression
This is the funniest show I’ve seen in the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Writer and star Jim Hanna continues to be one of the best comedy writers out there. His jokes are always set up well beforehand and pay off beautifully while the story unfolds. This show is so much more than a simple Mayors debate in a small town. I won’t ruin it but it goes to a place that was totally unexpected for me, and that pushed it over the edge into something really great. Highly recommended.
