I loved the mysterious introduction of the booming noise and how we had to gradually figure out what it was over time. Very “Black Mirror”-esque. Jim shines as “the conservative guy” (I forget his character’s name). He’s just so funny and rambunctious and doesn’t take himself too seriously which I love in an actor.
What I didn't like
Honestly, I can’t think of anything.
My overall impression
My favorite ensemble shows are ones where the cast meshes easily and obviously gets along well with each other. Mayor’s Debate was exactly this. The actors were playful, imaginative, and had fun on the stage. Believe it or not, sometimes you can tell actors aren’t having fun. This wasn’t the case for Mayor’s Debate.
